Hey, I’m Suzy! I’m the wife of a kind and decent man that I’m sure I don’t deserve, mom of 3 amazing kids, dog mom to some silly Goldens and Berners, a beekeeper, and a sinner who is surely only going to heaven by the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ. Oh, and I love dahlias thanks to that man I married who made us buy “Cafe au Lait” several years ago. It’s a gateway dahlia. Now here we are a few years into this. That one dahlia has turned into 440 at last check. Every year I try to do less and tell myself I’m taking some off my plate and every year I backfill them with the new ones I buy. Hello, I’m Suzy, and I have an addiction. But here we are. And I’m not a giver upper.

As far as who I am in my business. I really had to sit down and think about this for a bit. But I think quality and kindness are the main things I try to bring to the table. I hope that when you open your box from me, you feel the effort I’ve put into it for you as my customer. Every thank you note I include is handwritten by me. Every box is packed by me. Every tuber is inspected by me. I do that deliberately and not just because I’m a little OCD. Although, there’s that too. But I think if I ever get to the point that I can’t write a simple thank you to someone who’s ordered from me or I send out something subpar in order to make a profit, I’ll know I’ve gone too far in this journey. If I ever start to prioritize making money over being a kind person, I’m going the wrong way. And while there are times I can fall short, times I’m drowning in a busy season of life, times I can make mistakes, I hope that every customer knows that they can always reach out with concerns or questions.
